Samsung’s F lineup is well known to the Indian market as the one of the bang for the buck series set at the budget midrange segment. The series continues as one of the devices has been spotted on Google Play Console and 91mobiles, an Indian tech news outlet.

The F42 5G, also known as Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 in other markets, bear middle of the pack specifications in terms of raw power while supporting 5G. For starters, the handset has a MediaTek Dimensity 700 that supports 5G and has decent performance overall in terms of benchmarks. The chip is a power sipping silicon built on the 7nm node. Aside from that, the device sports an Infinity V spillway notch cutout housing the selfie shooter. The accurate descriptions for the display such as the technology used nor the refresh rate is neither known.

Assisting the Dimensity 700 is 6GB RAM and runs on Android 11 likely skinned with OneUI. The handset also sports a side mounted fingerprint scanner. Aside from the abovementioned, the handset specifications is still unknown.

According to 91mobiles, the device will launch in India tomorrow with a starting price of Rs. 20,999 (PHP 14.5k directly converted). No word regarding an official Philippine launch.
