Samsung’s lower end M lineup is typically focused the budget segment which usually lacks some punch in terms of features from the higher end of the hierarchy. The M22 somewhat breaks this as one of its features is usually carried by higher end devices.
Samsung silently unveils the Galaxy M22, it offers a Super AMOLED at 720p display measuring at 6.4 inches. A high refresh rate AMOLED display, from the yesteryears up until to this point, is being offered as a selling point for devices catered for a premium asking price.
Aside from the display, the specifications appear common for a budget handset like a quad 48MP rear camera setup, a large 5000Mah battery, support for fast charging of up to 25W and runs on an unspecified octa core processor, 4GB/128GB memory combo and OneUI 3.1 skinned Android 11.
Other features of the handset include a 3.5mm headphone port, a sidemounted fingerprint scanner and the inclusion of a 15W power brick within the box.
As for the aesthetics of the M22, the phone has a pin striped rear cover, a quad rear camera module at the top left of the rear and an Infinity V display.
Prices will start at 240 Euros in Europe which is approximately PHP 14K directly converted. No word regarding an official Philippine release.
