ASUS ROG Phone 5s and Pro Version Launches with Snapdragon 888 Plus

The new devices for the ROG Phone series announced and has now been refreshed with a much beefier Snapdragon 888 Plus. The devices’ are the ROG Phone 5s and 5s Pro.

Both of the devices have the Snapdragon 888 Plus which is the Snapdragon 888 that runs at a max frequency of 3GHz instead of 2.84GHz. It is also better in machine learning performance by about 20%. Aside from that, the two will be having a 6.78-inch 1080p 144Hz Super AMOLED displays. The displays are HDR10+ certified, 151% sRGB and covers 111% of DCI-P3.

Also being powered by a 6,000mAh battery that charges at 65W. The system of the duo runs on Android 11. Which is similar to what the 5 already had at launch. The standard model h starts at 8GB RAM and up to 16GB RAM while the 5S Pro goes overkill with 18GB and half a terabyte of storage.

The cameras on the rear are 64MP Sony IMX 686, a 13MP 125-degree FOV ultrawide camera and a 5MP macro shooter. Both can record of up yo 8K video and 4K timelapse.

The devices feature a 3.5mm headphone port,a side connector with USB 3.1 Gen2 speeds, and Display Port 1.4.

The 5s Pro features a PMOLED display at the rear, while the 5s only has a RGB-backlit ROG logo.

As for accessories, the 5s and 5s Pro support accessories from the 5 series and make way for some of the accessories of the previous 3 series.
