The Snapdragon 888 Plus was just announced recently as a slight upgrade to the Snapdragon 888 with it running up to 3GHz. Aside from the upcoming Honor Magic 3, another device on the horizon is tipped to feature the said chip.
Digital Chat Station from Weibo described the upcoming flagship iQOO device. Aside of the Snapdragon 888 Plus presence, the device is claimed to feature a Quad HD 120Hz Super AMOLED display with a top center punch hole for the selfie camera. Looking at the brand’s past releases, the display could be a curved panel.
Pairing the Snapdragon 888 Plus is up to 12GB of RAM with separate support of 4GB virtual RAM and 256GB of storage. With recent Vivo and iQOO devices, the upcoming iQOO 8 will be running Android 11 on top of OriginOS.
No information regarding the other specifications such as the cameras and battery. But it is safe to assume that the device will be having a versatile multi camera setup and a large battery, upwards of 4000mAh, and has fast charging support with likely of atleast 44W.
As of now, the launch date is known to be this August 17 for the upcoming flagship.
