Qualcomm Outs Smartphone For Snapdragon Insiders With Snapdragon 888, 144Hz OLED display

Qualcomm usually is the main dog when it comes to manufacturing chips for flagship android smartphones. Now, the chipmaker has announced a smartphone for their forum members dubbed as “Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders”. 

Keeping the peculiar name aside, its specifications is comparable to the top shelf devices across different manufacturers though Qualcomm will be charging about PHP 75K or $1,500 for the device. Its specifications include a standard Snapdragon 888 running at 2.84GHz. This is accompanied by an ample amount of memory configuration with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. A 4,000mAh battery will be powering the handset that charges at 65W. It will run a clean version of Android 11.

The display at the front measures at 6.78-inch Full HD AMOLED panel manufactured by Samsung and refreshes at 144Hz. The glass on the front is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and does support Always-On Display. At the top bezel, the smartphone is equipped with a 24MP sensor. The rear setup is composed of a 64MP main shooter, a 12MP ultrawide and an 8MP telephoto.

The rear also features a physical fingerprint scanner which is Qualcomm’s 2nd generation 3D Sonic sensor since it is incompatible with the OLED panel equipped. It also has a self illuminating Snapdragon logo below.The device will be sold under Asus in Japan US, China, UK, South Korea, Germany, and India.
