Roland Quandt is from Winfuture tweeted information about Samsung’s upcoming upper midrange device. The model number of the handset is SM-A826S. Quandt claims that this device is not just a rumor and does indeed exist.

He stated that the device, with the exact model number, is a South Korean exclusive from SK Telecom. He also quoted that the device will be named as the ” Samsung Galaxy A82 5G ” as he proceeded to say if the South Korean firm sticks with its naming scheme. 

Aside from Quandt, a tipster from Twitter has managed to source out some information regarding the device. Apparently, the firmware of the SM-A826S has been spotted online. This does strengthen the evidence that the said device does exist. 

The specifications and its pricing is currently unknown as of writing. Knowing Samsung, they might charge a pretty penny for this device as it offers 5G connectivity capability, it leaked recently that it would have a Snapdragon 855 chipset and a possible 5G modem inside, ample amounts of RAM and storage, large batteries and a huge AMOLED display.
