The Snapdragon8-series from Qualcomm is no stranger to manufacturers that aim to undercut the competition in price. These flagship killers were born with the likes of Xiaomi, Realme and OnePlus. This time, a branch from Vivo shows another potential flagship killer in the works. iQOO, since it started way back in 2019, has been targeting the budget side of the flagship market.
A leaked spec sheet has revealed that the subbrand is on the works of a “Vivo iQOO Neo 7”. The Neo 7sports a Snapdragon 888 mobile platform, a high refresh rate display, an LCD panel, a high capacity battery to end it.
What is interesting is the listed price is at 2500 CNY. Which equates to PHP 18,500 equivalent without taxes and duties. A device with a flagship Snapdragon platform at this price certifies that the budget flagship category is on full throttle, if true.
Redmi and realme already had their budget flagship devices launched in China with the Snapdragon 888 at slightly higher prices.
Availability in global markets is not known as the subbrand only launches devices within China and India only.
