Just recently, Redmi has announced their new Note lineup as a continuation for their budget offering. This time, the Note 10 series brings substantial upgrades over its predecessor. With bright AMOLED displays which is first ever used on a Redmi Note and more powerful processors, their asking price makes it a steal of a deal.
The top of the line Redmi Note 10 Pro features a 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED panel. A screen unheard of in the budget segment. It also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G which is a slight improvement over the Snapdragon 720G from the Note 9 Pro but an improvement nonetheless. Redmi also packed the Note 10 Pro a punch when it comes to camera hardware, it now features a 108MP camera as its main sensor. The camera sensor is made by Samsung, particularly the Samsung Bright HM2. Whether the image sensor will perform well is yet to be seen. It packs a 5020mAh battery that charges at 33W.
The Note 10, on the other hand, is a toned down version of the Pro version. It has a Snapdragon 678 chipset instead of the 732G. It still has an AMOLED display but now locked at a more conventional 60Hz refresh rate. The main sensor is toned down to a 48MP Sony IMX sensor instead of the 108MP Samsung. The battery isn’t much of a bump down at 5000mAh and still charges at 33W.
Meanwhile, the Note 10S has identical specifications to the Note 10 with some key upgrades. First, the Snapdragon 678 is swapped to a more powerful MediaTek Helio G95. And a much more powerful camera sensor is present on the device at 64MP.
The last of the bunch is the Note 10 5G, it skews differently from the Note 10 series because it lacks an AMOLED display as Redmi has opted to use an LCD display here with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It is also the only device with the capabilities as it packs MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 processor. It has a quite lackluster camera setup with only 1 main sensor at 48MP and the other two arr macro and depth cameras. It still has a large battery at 5000mAh though charges slowly at 18W.
Availability in the Philippines should be announced soon as Xiaomi’s official local page has promoted the launch of the device. Prices in overseas markets are noted on the images above.
