Xiaomi released substantial amount of devices, out of any manufacturer, with a 108MP main camera sensor from Samsung. The Mi Note 10, Mi 10 series, Mi 10T Pro and even the recently released Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G all have 108MP main shooters. The phone maker, according to this rumor, shows no slowing down with Redmi joining as as even more.
Digital Chat Station said that Xiaomi is preparing two devices with 108MP shooter, also the same with Redmi. Delving more into the rumor, he also stated that there will be two versions of the device. The higher end version is poised to have the Snapdragon 888 flagship mobile platform.
While he didn’t state clearly which devices are these, it is worth noting that they might be the flagship devices that the manufacturer may release. Possibly the Redmi K40 and K40 Pro or Mi 11 Pro.
It may also end up as another device. Xiaomi may release other devices within their lineup such as the Mi Note series or even a new lineup.
Whatever the device might end up called, it is fascinating that Xiaomi seems to have a sweet spot with Samsung’s high megapixel sensors.
Recently, Samsung is known to develop 200MP shooters for smartphones. With the trend, it won’t be surprising if Xiaomi grabs this sensor for their upcoming devices.
