With Qualcomm releasing the Snapdragon 480 chip, it is another choice for smartphone manufacturers for 5G connectivity into more budget oriented devices without compromising much in terms of performance with its packed specifications. Without any frets, OPPO has launched the OPPO A93 5G with this chip.
Aside from the Snapdragon 480 processor, the device features a 6.51 inch diagonal 1080p IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a 48MP triple camera setup and an 8MP front.
To accompany the system on a chip, OPPO managed to give the device a wealthy 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Filling its hefty 5000mAh battery up is via an 18W charging solution, likely Power Delivery or Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3 specification.
The A93 5G will keep the 3.5mm headphone port and will have a USB Type C connection. Luckily, it will ship Android 11 out of the box with OPPO’s flavor of Android on top, ColorOS.
It is unknown when it will arrive on our local shores though. In China, the device retails for CNY1999 for 256GB storage, this is about PHP 15,000 directly converted and non-inclusive of any taxes.
