Redmi K40 Live Images Leak Out From Chinese Social Media

The next wave of devices are expected earlier than expected with the rumored release of the first Snapdragon 888 device as soon as this late December. This time, another leaked image of a possible next generation device from Redmi has been spotted from Weibo.

The phone itself has a punch-hole camera cutout at the display. Its screen has no noticeable discoloration on the cutout nor on the sides of the panel which makes us speculate that Redmi has managed to put an AMOLED panel on the device.

Flipping on the rear is a quad camera setup with the module having an “ultra premium” text. This might be a marketing name that would end up harnessed inside the camera system which can be either a software or hardware trick.

The device runs on AOSP rom, which is believed to be a testing ground for their devices as tipsters point out to be.

Other specifications are still.unknown as of now. Though insiders such as Digital Chat Station has already claimed before that the K40 series may have Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 7-series chip that will succeed the Snapdragon 765 and the Pro version, having the flagship Snapdragon 888 mobile platform.
