Redmi’s K series in China is very popular for bringing premium features and performance at very attractive prices. The outgoing year presented us the K30 Pro which would later be the POCO F2 Pro that brought us Snapdragon 865 and AMOLED displays at midrange pricing. Now, there are hints of a successor at hand.
According to Digital Chat Station, a Xiaomi power brick passed through China’s CCC certification. The said charger is rated at 55W.
Looking at Xiaomi’s previous track records, the brick might not end up as Xiaomi’s next Ultra or Pro flagship. The Chinese giant’s Mi Note series might have a chance to have that as well.
Digital Chat Station quoted that it will come with a Redmi device. This is presumably the Redmi K40 Pro, that might feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 along that.
For now, it is interesting that the firm is working on higher charging capabilities for midrange devices and to their flagship killer. As of recently, Redmi CEO Lu weibing has already announced the Redmi K40 series launch which is due this February.
