With the absence of their own in-house silicon. Huawei has been reliant to others in equipping their midrange and budget devices with mobile platforms. One of them is MediaTek, and there is another handset in the works with the newly launched Dimensity 700 chip.
The MediaTek Dimensity 700 offers 5G capabilities for less, it is a 7nm octa core chip equipped with two high performance Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores at 2GHz. The CPU is paired with a Mali G57 at two shader cores clocked at 950MHz.
Aside from the 5G MediaTek chip, it will bring a 48MP quad camera setup.. It is supported by a secondary 8MP shooter for ultra wide shots and another pair of 2MP efforts for macro and depth assistance.
Powering the device will be a 5,000mAh cell, standard across these days. Interestingly, Huawei will harness it one of the faster charging speeds at 40W. This may be their 40W charging protocol that has been seen on their last flagship devices.
Its launch is still unknown and availability in other markets is uncertain. There are no hints nor any leaks for its price.
