More details about the device has surfaced shared by the Redmi General Manager.
The Redmi K30 Pro is now confirmed to feature a 60Hz refresh rate. The AMOLED panel used in the device is manufactured by Samsung according to Redmi officials. It will also have a 180Hz touch sampling rate and will support HDR 10+ content. 5 million to one contrast ratio, and a peak brightness of 1200 nits.
Another nifty feature added is the return of multicolored notification light. This was featured before on multiple Redmi devices and was scrapped with a white only light. The multicolored blinker returns on the Redmi K30 Pro which is positioned on its pop-up mechanism, which the sides has transparent tube-like plastic beside the camera module which glows when the device receives notifications.
The cameras gets a bump up as well. The main sensor is a Sony IMX 686 64MP sensor, this is found on the Redmi K30 series which was launched last year, this is one of the largest sensors made by Sony for smartphones. Another is that the introduction of Optical Image Stabilization on the Redmi K30 Pro for both the telephoto and main sensor. This is also the first Redmi device to feature OIS. The device is also capable of 8K recording.
As for zooming capabilities, the Redmi K30 Pro is confirmed to have a telephoto zoom lens which is capable of 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom.
Color selections revealed to be Gray, Purple, Green and Blue. The device is expected launch on March 24 in China.
