So we got ourselves a new monitor. Nothing fancy, just a new AoC 24″ curved one which retails for about PHP 8,500 / Est. US$ 160. And while it’s not specifically billed as a gaming-specific monitor, we gather its 4ms response is pretty decent for most 60hz gaming – plus the design does seem rather nice. So we figured we might as well unbox it for you and see if it would be good for your own usage scenarios! Check out our video embedded above or read up on more of its specs below!
Based on their website, the color gamut on this monitor seems pretty good. Not sure if that reflected well enough on the unboxing but a proper calibration should do the trick in that case. We’re still saving up for a proper colorimeter but hopefully our future display unboxings and reviews will feature our own calibration and color gamut testing.
One thing we’d like to say though is that it may be better off with a slightly lesser curve than the 1500R. But that’d be up to your personal preferences.
Anyway, check out this AoC monitor at your nearest retailers!
