Redfox, a PC brand that mostly operates in the Philippines known for budget-minded products like laptops and tablets, are getting their game on – and big gaming brands like MSI, Acer, and Asus will have to take note. Why? Because they’re bringing some very powerful laptops to the table for much less asking price than the competition. Want i7 6-core with 1050 Ti, 8GB, SSD+HDD with Per Key RGB mech keys in a premium metal body with thin bezels? Just PHP 70k! Or how about an entry level one with the same specs, RGB zone backlit keys, and subwoofer for only PHP 60k!? Its crazy, but totally not unlike Redfox to be able to offer such great devices for these low prices. Finally, how much would you pay for a i7 8700k desktop overclocking CPU-packing 17″ laptop with 120hz QHD (2560×1440) panel and G-Sync? If you thought 6 digits then you’re going to be very happily wrong because Redfox’s desktop class laptop is only PHP 99,999! Got your attention? If so then make sure to check out our video of these laptops above or read up on more of their specs below!

So, what do you think? Promising, right? I guess the only thing that needs to be done now is fully test these guys if there aren’t any inherent issues or defects or lower quality materials in them. So far, our short time with them has been promising. I’d personally like a more classy looking font on the keyboards and maybe just some overall polish would be nice. But of course, other than that we still have to really test these laptops under actual gaming because gaming laptops live and die by their thermals and reliability of components.

Redfox says they’re planning to support these gaming laptops for at least 2 years, with possible plans to extend that to 3. They’re currently working with partners to come up with more service centers so we’ll update you when we find out how many they are or how much effort the process of getting your laptop serviced if needed is going to take.

These laptops will mostly be available online only with the exception of Laptop Factory stores, so it will be harder for people to see these in malls and try them themselves. So trust in the brand will become a big deal going forward, especially since you’ll be buying these laptops essentially blind. That’s where we will hopefully come in and if we can, we will assess these laptops for you to determine if they’re good enough to buy sight unseen.

So yeah. These laptops will be available soon (2nd week of November for Alecto & Megaera; 4th week of November for Tisiphone) from Lazada and Laptop Factory stores. Check them out in a few weeks if you’re interested!
