Not to sound like a broken record, but we’re sick of the red and black aggressive gaming laptop style. Yet, we want to play games on our attractive, slim laptops. Thankfully Acer might have the solution with the new Spin 5 equipped with a GTX 1050. Part of a line of Spin devices, they’re generally just your typical productivity convertible type – except this one has that gaming graphics card built in. It’ll cost you a little bit more, and technically the design might not be the best for full load gaming, but at least brands are finally realizing that ugly plastic aggressive boxes are not cool. So is this the stealthy gaming laptop you’ve been looking for? Find out by watching our video review embedded above or read more of our findings below.

The Acer Spin 5 with GTX 1050 is not for everybody. And likely the 13″ and 15″ variants that don’t carry the Geforce graphics card will sell more units because they’re simpler and have a clear purpose in mind. This one however, can play games. Sacrifices have been made for it to look like this and still run a GPU, but for someone who needs a slim classy laptop that lets you roll up your sleeves and frag a few demons every now and then its quite a boon. For people like that – which includes us – this is a highly recommended device.
