Somewhere out there, a kid is cursing us for spending money on graphics cards they can’t afford especially after they watch this video. But hey, at least these two cards we’re unboxing today aren’t technically for gaming – but they might as well be. We could have easily spent nearly the same amount of money buying a regular 1060, just like the one we unboxed a couple of weeks ago here. But we wanted to check out these unique, Mining-Only cards that constitute as “Graphics Cards” only in name. Why, you ask? Because they don’t have video outputs and they can’t be used for graphics in that sense. Essentially, these are neutered 1060’s that can only do computational tasks with no possible resale into the gaming market out there. Its a bit of a terrible buy, considering you can get a regular one for nearly the same price but like I said, we were curious. Are you curious too? Or possibly a miner? Check out our video testing these guys out embedded above or read more about them below!
Zotac P106-100 GTX 1060 Mining-Only Graphics card – PHP 13,500 / US$ 270 (bought from JDM Techno Computer Center)
So are you a miner looking to see if this works for you? Or are you a gamer who can’t find a GPU? Or are you in between and just want to see what the fuss is about? Whichever you are though, we hope you find the GPU you’re looking for!
