Potentially disturbing news have come up today to break up your Holiday cheer: one of AirAsia’s flights from Indonesia to Singapore is missing. In a tweet and Facebook post from the Malaysian-based airline, they’ve declared that QZ8501 has “lost contact” at 07:24hrs. (Probably Malaysia time.)
There’s not much information to go with at this moment, given that all we know is that it has lost contact. We do know that the plane is an Airbus A320-200. (PK-AXC) AirAsia seems to have also changed their twitter picture to gray instead of red as a possible sign of emergency.
We’ll have to stand by for more information as it develops.
