MVP Announces Free Internet On All Smart, Sun, & Talk N’ Text Prepaid Subscribers!

We’re here at a Smart event right now and they’ve just announced free internet for all prepaid subscribers. This of course means any Smart, Talk N’ Text, & Sun prepaid user can now get internet for free.

It’s not unlimited though as you get 30MB a day and won’t last forever – it ends on November 30, 2014, or about 2 months worth of internet. Maybe it’ll get extended like the usual promos, but so far it looks like you can’t get free internet forever. Though for those two months, it might just entice consumers to pick up a Smart SIM and take advantage of it to make a few posts on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.

To activate the service, text FREE to 9999 (minimum balance 1 Peso, registration is free). Seems you have to do this every day to get your 30MB for that day. Internet will be cut off immediately when you hit 30MB and asked if you wish to pay to continue. You also can’t use Torrents, video streaming sites like YouTube, VOIP apps like Skype, and some messaging apps – small exceptions to keep the internet flowing, we guess.
