Say what you will about the Chinese smartphone brand Gionee, but they sure have premium devices in mind instead of building generic me-too type Android boxes. Nothing embraces that philosophy more than their current flagship offering, the Elife E6. While its got all the specs you’d want from a top-end device (including a Quad-Core processor, Full HD display, and 13+5MP cameras), it differentiates itself from the pack with its stylish design, materials, and even a highly customized “Amigo OS” UI. Priced at PHP 18,999 though, its definitely quite a hefty price to pay just to stand out. But is it worth it? Check out our review of the Elife E6 below to find out!

The Gionee Elife E6 Gets 3.5 Stars Out OF 5

 

Pros:

  • One of the best looking devices in this space
  • Bright and colorful display
  • Flagship specs with 2GB RAM
  • Very high camera quality; Fast camera app
  • LED notification light with multiple colors

Cons:

  • 1080p resolution too much for gaming, slight interface frame skips
  • priced too high against same spec competition

 

The Gionee Elife E6 is a beautiful phone with a sleek Amigo UI and a seriously impressive camera. While it’s a little pricey and the gaming performance could be improved, its attractive design will likely win some applause from the fashionable crowd. Indeed, for the consumer who has everything, a stylish phone that stands out in a sea of black boxes with stock Android builds would be the perfect device – and it doesn’t hurt that you can take impressive pictures for sharing either. If you’re in that demographic – and we’re not saying everyone is – then you should check out the Gionee Elife E6 at a retailer near you.
