Its that dreaded time of the year once again. That time of year when our collective e-wallet confidence shrink, become emaciated, and we become self-conscious of ourselves in front of the e-mirror. What time is it then, you ask? Well its time for the Steam Thanksgiving sale, of course. The yearly tradition of massive video game discounts on the Steam PC online distribution platform. And its not just one day, the deals last for an entire week. So put those Credit Cards, PayPals, MOL Points (more on this later), and Steam Wallet Cards away. Because its almost impossible to resist buying things like Skyrim for $7.49 (PHP 327); Walking Dead for $6.24 (PHP 272); Sleeping Dogs for $4.99 (PHP 218); and much more. Worse, this is just day one – and experience tells us the best is yet to come. Either way, mouse over the jump to find out which deals are available today.
Steam Thanksgiving Sale: Day One
Current flash sales up right now are for Castle Story ($13.39), Space Hulk ($10.19), Crysis 2: Maximum Edition ($7.49), and Hammer Watch ($3.39). The Steam Thanksgiving Sale starts November 27 and ends on December 3. (For the Philippines that’s probably November 28 to December 4.) Think carefully about your purchases and hold on until the final day’s sales!
P.S.: If you’re not a Steam gamer or don’t understand the effect of a Steam Sale on a weak PC gamer’s heart, we think this video below can explain what we feel about it fairly well. (The big face is Gabe Newell, big boss at Steam. “Worth the weight,” is a joke relating to him.)
