There’s not a lot of details we can find right now, but it looks like Apple’s revolutionary visionary, Steve Jobs, has passed away – as was announced by Apple in a statement late on Wednesday. He is remembered by most as the icon who brought Apple back from the brink and introduced its heavy hitters today – creating the extremely popular line of consumer devices, including the iPod, iPhone, iPad, as well as popularizing the Mac OS and their personal computers. Of which sent the technological world back to the drawing board more than just a handful of times and oversaw the company to become the highest valued stock in the world. He is regarded by all as a very charismatic and passionate leader. We will all miss him.

Jobs was fighting a rare form of pancreatic cancer a few years now, and the toils have prompted him to resign from the post of CEO this year. Apple had just unveiled their new iPhone 4S a day or so prior and Steve was said to have waited for the entire keynote to finish before leaving – showing still so much dedication to his work and no doubt overseeing the passing of his legacy to Apple’s new CEO Tim Cook.

Steve Jobs (1955-2011)

Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.
