Better never than late, right? Or was that the other way around? PopCap games have finally announced the release of Plants vs. Zombies for your Android phone. On a slightly sad note, it will launch on the Amazon Android Market first for two weeks, with the first day free – which doesn’t much matter to us, because Amazon Market isn’t supported in the Philippines. Two weeks later though, we’ll get it at the regular Android Marketplace. So shout out a delayed “Yay!”
Plants vs. Zombies is obviously a video game chronicling the struggle of the oppressed, misunderstood, and racially stereotyped Zombie. Who is in a constant gang turf war against the overly aggressive Plants for possession of your front lawn, back, and roof. The game features zombie eating plants, plants that shoot ice, fire, and various other weapons of mass zombie destruction. It’s already been widely available on PC and iOS, but it’s also scheduled to arrive on Windows Phone 7 next month – pretty much the same time as Android.
Once it’s on the Marketplace, it should sell for $2.99. Not as free as Angry Birds, but we’ll take it. Maybe if a lot of people pony up they’ll finally make Plants vs. Zombies 2!
