Looks like HTC is planning on bringing their new small form factor Android to the Philippines next month. YugaTech’s sources have given the Philippine launch date to the HTC Wildfire S this June, which should set it near the launch date of the HTC Sensation, also pegged to launch next month.

The HTC Wildfire S is the upgraded version of last year’s Wildfire. It’s a small form factor Android 2.3 Gingerbread device meant for the mid-range or budget range of HTC’s consumers. It has a 3.2” 480×320 resolution screen – bumped from 320×240 last year, 600Mhz processor, bumped WiFi capabilities to N, and 5MP camera + LED Flash and VGA video recording. Its biggest selling point might be that its one of the first few budget Android handsets running Gingerbread.

If the rumor is true for next month, then HTC is poised to launch two extremes of their spectrum – the flagship and the budget. The HTC Sensation is rumored to launch at a price just below PHP 30,000, but there are no tentative prices for the Wildfire S. We’d wager it would be around the vicinity of PHP 15,000. In the arena of budget Androids, HTC usually occupies the higher price point for the extra build quality and features it brings. (including Gingerbread out of the box)
