The HTC Sensation
YugaTech’s sources have once again given us a juicy rumor for us waiting for Android superphones to arrive in the Philippines. HTC’s flagship dual-core beast – the HTC Sensation is said to be arriving this June for a price below PHP 30,000.
The HTC Sensation is the Taiwanese smartphone giant’s new Android 2.3 Gingerbread-running flagship device with all the trimmings of one. Equipped with a dual-core 1.2Ghz processor, 4.3” capacitive display running at a massive 960×540, 1080p video capture, 8MP camera with dual LED flash, and a boat load of new HTC Sense UI tech inside. (fancy new lock screen included) But we’ve already covered most of this on our previous article here. Least to say, this is a solid contender for this year’s Phone of the Year – if it could beat the Samsung Galaxy S II, which is currently very highly regarded in the market.
What you do need to know now is that the HTC superphone is said to be releasing next month here in the Philippines with a likely pricetag of under 30 grand. With most modern smartphones falling under that mark these days, even in the Philippine market, its great to see HTC is slated to compete for dominance with its pricing as well. Soon, the rest of the pack of single-core devices will drop down and we’ll have a top end of dual-core devices running around the country – something we would eagerly let iPhone 4 users know. Needless to say, we’re excited to see the Sensation land in our country. If its true that the phone lands next month, then it would be an understatement to call us excited. Aren’t you?
