      Hi Alfonso, it might be hard to get one from here and ship it there, but the best way is to probably look for a Gigabyte GSmart G1310 in your local country because that’s what the Cherry Mobile Orbit is without the brand. It should be easier to find internationally than the Cherry Mobile.

    Hi. From what I have read in your blog, you have great coverage of Cherry Mobile Orbit. You were even also there during the Cherry Mobile Orbit 50% sale on May 19.

    There has been a new discovery that the first batch of Cherry Mobile Orbit (the pure black version) has an inferior sound quality earphone output compared with the new batch of Cherry Orbit (the one with gray in the middle or black-gray-black version). Since your Orbit was also acquired during the sale or if it pure black, you might also be affected.

      Thanks for the heads up, lightninglord! We’ll try to investigate the sound quality for the unit, but we don’t have a new gray unit so we can’t compare them. On its own, the sound quality seems passable so it might not be a thing you would notice normally or mind, but we’ll do our best to find a way to compare the two units and let people know about any issues if we find any.

    Hey there! I’d just like to ask if the HTC Incredible S is available here in the Philippines? If it is, where could I buy it at best price (and what is the best price you know of at the moment)?

      Hi Mark, unfortunately the Incredible S isn’t officially sold here in the Philippines by HTC PH. You can find them from importers like this site:

      But I doubt they will have official warranties. So far, official HTC PH units here are the Desire, Desire Z, Desire HD, 7 Mozart, Wildfire, Wildfire S, Desire S, Sensation, and the like.

      Supposedly they didn’t bring in the Incredible S because they thought it would compete with the Desire HD and Sensation lines, though we think it has its own merits over the larger ones.

    Hello, great site!

    As for my question, I’m looking for the cheapest possible Android phone that supports Skype video calling. Any suggestions?

    Most of the phones listed when I google “skype android” are in the 20-30k range. Is there anything closer to 10k pesos?

      Hi Greg, you’re right that most phones that supports Skype video calling is in the 20k range. You’re in luck though – the Xperia Mini Pro just came out and is about 12.3k at CMKCellphones right now. It’s a 1Ghz device with 3″ 320×480 screen and sliding keyboard so its an unusual build. But if you really need one for Skype video, that’s your phone. There is currently no other Android that does Skype video for cheaper.

    hello.
    just bought the Alcatel OneTouch Blaze Duo,
    yeah. it’s 4.9k
    i learned upon using the phone that it is really hard to establish data connection, the phone uses only 2g (GPRS) and 2.5g(EDGE) technologies.
    it works better if you’re connected to WiFi.
    as an Android phone, that’s not good but aside from the mobile data connection,
    still it’s a cute phone for my 10 year old bro.
    wahehe.

    Hi!

    I’m buying a new phone come December and I’m eye-ing HTC Incredible S. I’ve read reviews and tried calling some and even visited park square and market!market! stores to check how much they’re selling it. However, it seems that its no longer available here in Manila. Would you happen to know where I can still buy one and how much its going to cost me? I’ll be using my card and would probably avail 12 months installment. Thanks

      Hi Gen!

      The HTC Incredible S isn’t officially sold here in the Philippines. HTC PH decided that they wouldn’t bring it in because it might compete with their other devices at the time. So there are no official Incredible S phones here in the PH. You can get one from gray market sources for about PHP 21k. Consider getting a different HTC unit if you want a white market one.

        Thanks for the quick reply, I really appreciate your help. That’s a pity though coz I like Incredible S than Desire S. If I still buy incredible with warranty and then broke the phone. Will HTC honor the warranty and fix it still eventhough they didn’t officially launce IS here? Thanks again

          Unfortunately the warranty will be based on where the original gray market unit came from. HTC Philippines will not support it or have parts for it to repair.

          Maybe go for the Sensation or Sensation XE? =)
