Haylou, a brand known for wearables and earbuds, recently contacted us to review a new smartwatch – the Haylou Solar Neo. The recently launched Neo, is an affordable variant which starts around PHP 1,399 (during 9.9 sale), and offers a 1.53″ LCD display, voice control, IP68 ingress protection, phone capabilities, and more. Is it worth grabbing one vs. the typical fitness bands in this price point? Watch our video review embedded above or read up on the specs below to find out!

Haylou Solar Neo – PHP 1,700 (PHP 1,399 on 9.9)[1]

• 1.53″ HD colorful display
• Upgraded Rotating Crown
• Voice assistant feature
• One-tap connection Bluetooth calling
• Android Bluetooth 5.3
• Upgraded View Modes
• IP68: Professional Water Resistance
• Versatile Features: workout modes, unique watch faces
• Works for Android and iOS

We find the Haylou Solar Neo is a great smartwatch for the price. In this case, the devil is in the details – having timely notifications show with a large screen that almost completely displays the whole message, for example. Voice control works great, phone calls are a bonus, music (and even YouTube / etc) playback control, find phone, SOS, etc. Many watches have these, but Haylou has executed them quite nicely on the Solar Neo. Check it out online and grab one if you are in the market!
