iQOO Neo9 series priced in China. Flagship Qualcomm and MediaTek chips at midrange prices

The iQOO Neo9 series has launched packed in with powerful performance at midrange pricing, well atleast in China. The series consists of two devices, the standard and the Pro variant. While they may share a mold when it comes to appearance, both devices have a solid fundamental difference.

Starting with the Neo9, the device is donning a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, Qualcomm’s last generation flagship chip. Also, the ultrawide snapper is only an 8MP solution.

The Pro version on the other hand, is having MediaTek’s latest flagship SoC, the Dimensity 9300. The ultrawide sensor gets an upgrade as well with it being a 50MP shooter from Samsung, the Samsung JN1.

The differences end there as both devices enjoy a similar set of hardware configuration. Both are equipped with a 6.78″ 1.5K OLED panel with LTPO technology that can refresh at 1-144Hz. The processors are also equipped with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. It’s main sensor comes as a surprise, it’s the same solution used on the vivo X100, a 50MP Sony IMX920 with a 1/1.49-inch sensor size. The duo runs on Android 14 with OriginOS 4 skin on top. A 5160mAh battery that charges at 120W max in inside on both.

Below are the storage configurations and Chinese prices of the series. Note that both of them are directly converted and are not inclusive of taxes and duties. Local launch of the two is currently unknown.
