Honor X9a has been marketed as a durable device with countless of durability tests made at launch. Its follow up seems to double down on that and it comes with an unconventional naming as well.
X/Twitter user @faridofanani96 has unearthed a flyer teasing the upcoming Honor X9b. That’s right, the successor for the Honor X9a is the X9b, a unique naming scheme. Along with that is a Geekbench result which further points what the device features and specifications are. According to him, the Honor X9b is the global variant of the Honor X50 that has already been launched in China for quite a while.
As a refresher, the Honor X50 packs in a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip running at 2.2GHz and paired with an Adreno 710 GPU. The panel at the front is nothing short of impressive, a 6.78-inch 1.5K 1220p curved OLED display that refreshes at 120Hz. At the top center of its display is a lone 8MP shooter for selfies inside a punchhole cutout. The rear has a duo of 108MP for its main and a 2MP macro snapper.
It runs on Android 13 on top of MagicUI 7.1. The battery is very large at 5800mAh and is capable of charging at 35W. Now the report didn’t come with what storage variants it will have for the Honor X9b but the Chinese Honor X50 came up to 512GB storage and 16GB RAM.
