A new midrange phone catered for the Chinese market will pack in an unannounced SoC from MediaTek. The Dimensity 9200+ will be making its rounds with the likes of Redmi and ASUS ROG, this time with iQOO equipping it on their upcoming iQOO Neo8.
First mention of the device is with Digital Chat Station stating nuggets of information regarding the subject on a Weibo blog. The tipster stated that the handset will be having the new SoC, 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The configuration ensures blazing fast performance for the device. No information regarding for the other specifications, though.
Given past prices, the Neo8 will be positioned as a midrange to premium tier device a la POCO with their flagship killer strategy. Bringing value for money, atleast in China.
As for availability, it will be available on May in China. Availability locally is looking unclear with iQOO’s presence in the Philippines being nonexistent.
