Redmi went out with a bang releasing four new devices in China to be positioned on the midrange segment. The Redmi Note 12 lineup harbors innovative features and set of specifications that the industry has ever seen. The top variant packs in charging capabilities that charges the device from 0 to 100% in 9 minutes and even 200MP cameras with OIS. 

All the Pro variants and the Discovery Edition pack in the new MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip. The SoC scores decent marks in benchmarks and is only behind by just compared to the Snapdragon 778G. All of the four, including the standard variant, run on MIUI 13 on top of Android 12. 

Also, the devices are equipped with a 6.67″ Full HD OLED display that refreshes at 120Hz. Barring the standard Redmi Note 12, the three support 1920Hz PWM. The set of cameras on the rear accompanying the main cameras are a 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro shooter. The selfie camera on the three upper models is a 16MP snapper, the Note 12 has an 8MP camera.

Starting with the Pro version, the device has a 50MP Sony IMX 766 with OIS. It also charges at 67W to fill up its 5000mAh cell. 

The Pro+ variant has a Samsung HPX sensor, a 200MP sensor with three shooting modes. One at 200MP, another at 50MP with 2×2 pixel binning and 12.5MP at 4×4 pixel binning. Similar to the Pro variant, the handset has a 5000mAh battery but charges faster at 120W with a Surge P1 chip built inside.

The Discovery Edition is similar to the Pro+ version in terms of its main camera and capabilities but the charging spec breaks industry standards as it is one of the first with 210W fast charging. It charges its 4300mAh battery in 9 minutes.

Redmi also announced the regular Redmi Note 12 but with it having a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, 33W fast charging and a 48MP main shooter.
