The iQOO brand is popular in China and India, and they have released a new midranger for the Chinese markets. iQOO made interesting choices for the hardware specs of the Z6. With the cameras gaining OIS and the choice of an IPS panel, the Z6 isn’t the most powerful handset for its price but it maybe an attempt for a more balanced experience.

The Z6 enjoys a 6.64″ Full HD IPS display that refreshes at 120Hz and has a 240Hz touch polling rate. Performance-wise, the user will be seeing the Snapdragon 778G Plus under the hood, the chip offers Snapdragon 855-esque performance on synthetic benchmarks. The silicon is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

The cameras get a treat since the 64MP main shooter supports OIS coupled with a homely duo of 2MP shooters and an 8MP for selfies.

It can be charged via an 80W solution to fill up the 4500mAh cell. Other features include NFC, Hi-Res Audio and retails for 1699CNY(PHP 13.9K), 1899CNY(PHP 15.5K) and 2099CNY(PHP 17.2K) for the 8/128GB, 8/256GB and 12/256GB variants.

The smaller sibling, the Z6x, also gets announced alongside the Z6. Specifications include a spillway notch style display measuring at 6.58 inches diagonally, refreshes at 120Hz and is an IPS panel. Its runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

A 50MP main, a 2MP accompanying sensor and an 8MP selfie shooter consists of its camera array.

It charges at a rate of 44W to juice the 6000mAh battery. It retails for 1199CNY(PHP 9.8K), 1399CNY(PHP 11.4K) and 1599CNY(PHP 13K) for the 6/128GB, 8/128GB and 8/256GB variants.

Both devices run on Android 12 with the OriginOS Ocean skin on top. Availability of the two outside China is currently unknown.
