With the launch of the Galaxy Fold and Flip 3, Samsung made a surprise by launching them with improvements over their predecessors while at a cheaper launching price. Currently, there are numerous rumors that not only Samsung but Chinese firms are also working with a cheaper foldable.

Samsung, the market leader of folding phones, is rumored to be planning to launch a foldable phone under the Galaxy A lineup. This is from a tweet from Twitter user chunvn8888.

He tweeted “Foldable Galaxy A” which conspicuously hints a midrange foldable. Though he quote retweeted the tweet stating that it wont be launching until 2024 or 2025.

Another rumor this time from Chinese microblogging site, Weibo, has surfaced. This has been tipped by Digital Chat Station. The Weibo post hinted that the folding screen,” if introduced at a lower asking price”, it can be launched on one of BBK subbrands, realme and iQOO. The two subbrands are popular for their value for money handsets.

With these rumors out there, the folding form factor for phones seems to be getting cheaper and on its way to lower asking prices. Will you buy a folding phone if it gets much cheaper?
