OnePlus Ace Racing budget gaming phone gets announced in China

To everyone’s surprise, OnePlus has already unveiled the Ace Racing. The device is surprising as it is comparable to the just announced Ace, atleast in terms of performance, while asking for a lower price.

The Ace Racing also enjoys the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset. This rivals even Qualcomm’s former best, the Snapdragon 888 in raw performance while outpacing it in terms of efficiency. Even though it might not have an Adreno GPU, the chip’s stability will be a highlight given that recent Snapdragon SoCs suffer from heating issues.

Users will find themselves enjoying a 6.59″ Full HD IPS panel that refreshes at 120Hz. The handset’s front also contains a 16MP front facing shooter. The rear has a trio of cameras with a 64MP main, 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP camera which will likely be barely used at all.

Packed in is a 5000mAh power cell that can be refueled at 67W by its compatible power brick. It runs on Android 12 on top of ColorOS 12 for the Chinese markets. If it will arrive globally, it likely be replaced by OxygenOS.
