A new wave of devices is fast approaching and just recently, Motorola shaked the Chinese smartphone market landscape with the Edge S30. That device featured a Snapdragon 888 Plus for nearly 15K PHP (directly converted). With that out of the way, iQOO, one of the brands that takes a stab at the budget flagship segment, has one of its devices leaked along with some key specifications.
The handset leaked is the iQOO Neo 5s and its specifications looks to peer at the budget flagship territory. Appearance-wise, the phone has a punchhole cutout at the top center. The display looks to be AMOLED as well, safe to speculate that it support some sort of high refresh rate be it 90Hz or 120Hz.
Specifications indicated on the display is the inclusion of a Snapdragon 888 chipset at 2.84GHz, 8GB RAM with virtual RAM technology of up to 4GB. The handset in display also dons 128GB of storage. It is also powered by the new OriginOS Ocean skin which will be found on upcoming Vivo and iQOO handsets. Other specifications include a 48 Megapixel Sony IMX 598 shooter with OIS and 66W fast charging.
The Neo 5S is tasked to launch at December 20 likely to be accompanied by the brand’s more affordable sibling of the Neo 5 series, the Neo 5 SE to have the Snapdragon 778G+ chip.
