Launched last night, Motorola decided to shake the competition up with the Edge S. It is a solid spec monster for its asking price of just 310US$.

Inside the device is Qualcomm’s newly released Snapdragon 870 mobile platform. It is based on last year’s Snapdragon 865 with its GPU and CPU cranked up to extreme clock speeds in order to deliver optimal performance. Tagging along the processor is up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

Its screen is a 6.7-inch IPS Full HD panel that refreshes at 90Hz. The top left of it features two individual singular cutouts for the dual selfie cameras.

The rear shooters are composed of four main sensors and three of them are usable. Leading the roster is a 64MP main camera, a 16MP ultrawide camera and to finish off is a 2MP for depth shots. Motorola also managed to put in a Time of Flight camera for needed further assistance.

Snapping your selfies and video calls are a duo of 16MP main shooter and an 8MP ultrawide effort.

Its power tank is rated at 5000mAh that can charge at a maximum of 20W. Booting up the device is Android 11 on top of a custom MyUI skin.
