RUMOR: Flagship Devices Early Next Year Will Have SD875, 100W Charging

In this year alone, we already have seen insane charging speeds from manufacturers like Xiaomi and OPPO. Also, the Snapdragon 865 was the undisputed champion when it comes to firepower in the Android camp. Early next year, the trend may continue with this rumor.

Digital Chat Station shared rumors regarding about the upcoming flagship devices. The tipster noted that in the first quarter, from January to March, of next year we will see devices debut with Qualcomm’s yet to be launched Snapdragon 875 and 100W fast charging. It is rumored that these devices will debut in China. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 875, is the tentative name of the successor of the 865.

Qualcomm has already sent invites and it is believed that the mobile platform will launch this December 1 via a virtual conference.

As for charging capabilities, we already have seen marvel with Xiaomi’s 120W fast charging,(disputed only to max at 80W), OPPO’s 125W demo charging and Vivo’s 120W fast charging on the iQOO series. So 100W for flagship devices next year may not be too far fetched. Protocols like these usually fill up the battery in under 45 minutes.

Though as of now, the five devices implied by the insider remains under wraps of their respective manufacturers. It will be few months in time until we get to see these devices if true.
