Samsung was on hot water with their Exynos 990 chipset faltering even to a midrange chipset. Plaguing with different issues such as battery drains and heating issues, users of their flagship lineup equipped by the chip have even petitioned for the company to not use.
Now it seems that Samsung continues to disappoint. Ice Universe on Twitter has tweeted a Geekbench 5 result from the alleged Samsung Galaxy S21. The photo quoted “exynos2100”, which he noted that it will be the chip to power the S21 series.
As for the result, it is underwhelming to say the least. It achieves 1000 on single core and 3100 on multi core. This is dismal as the Snapdragon 865 can achieve similar scores. Though he noted that this may be an early result and may have some software optimization issues.
Hopefully, this is the case as it can be another disappointing year for them in terms for their devices at the rest of the world who doesn’t receive the Qualcomm platforms of their devices.
What do you think? Are you willing to pay a device that performs worse than the device selling at the same price?
