The Find X2 series is OPPO’s current flagship and has garnered adequate attention from reviewers and consumers alike. Though, a device is currently rumored, yet to see the light of day that may be the flagship that will succeed the current one.
An insider from Weibo hinted that OPPO, currently has a prototype device that will have “SM8350”, “10X Optical Zoom”, “20X Mixed Zoom” and a “Strong camera. The SM8350, is a Qualcomm part number for their processors. The current flagship processor lineup, the Snapdragon 865 and the 865 Plus have the part numbers of SM8250 and SM-8250-AB. Which implies that the part number indicated on the rumor might be the successor of the current 865. We can assume the “Snapdragon 875”.
Another interesting feat is the inclusion of a powerful zooming camera. The device might be packing periscopic hardware to achieve lengthy zooming capabilities. Along with that rumor is a “strong camera”, this may mean a very good camera hardware setup.
The rumor is similar of their Find X lineup, so this may mean that it will be one of the future upcoming devices under it. Though, no launch date has been given for the alleged prototype.
