Huawei HarmonyOS Smartphone Arriving Next Year

Last year, Huawei has unveiled their HarmonyOS at Huawei Developer Conference. Many were expecting that this might be the solution of the Chinese firm to cut the ties with Google and their reliance with their smartphones to Android.

Now, there are reports that this year, HarmonyOS 2.0 at this year’s conference. This was from Richard Yu himself, the Huawei CEO. 


Reports say that HarmonyOS 2.0 can run on PCs, smart wearables and more unlike the first version which was for smart screens.The rumor extends with the first smartphone running on the software will launch as early as next year.

 


The device will launch alongside other IoT products, PC, tablets and smart wearables. In which the first smartwatch with the software is slated at the end of the year. With that said the CEO hinted that HarmonyOS will run on all of Huawei’s consumer electronics creating a standalone ecosystem.


The conference is scheduled at September 10. As for the U.S. sanctions with the chip ban, the firm stands and are currently finding ways to deal with the ban. The Kirin 9000 is expected to be unveiled also at the event which will power the Huawei Mate 40 series.
