With the 5G ramping up in different regions, it is enough to say that the tech isn’t ready yet — but we’re getting there. In the mean time, 4G devices are still the standard. With that said, Qualcomm is reportedly working with another 4G chip, the Snapdragon 732G, possibly for regions where 5G isn’t going to cut it yet.

The 732G is said to be a variant of the Snapdragon 730G. According to a tipster from Twitter, the chip is going to harbor two Kryo Gold cores, probably based from ARM Cortex-A76, clocked at 2.3GHz.

He also stated that the 732G will be better in AI.
Lastly, he noted that the chip will debut in Vietnam with a device costing US$300 or about PHP 15K.

Slightly higher in comparison with the 730G’s 2.2GHz. Digging through the tweet, the rest seems to be the same with the manufacturing process, GPU and the frequency of the efficiency cores.

With the specifications provided and the alleged “price range of a device”, it can be assumed that the 732G is for the midrange to budget category. After all, the 730G has been present in devices of that caliber since it was released.
