A few days ago, ASUS Taiwan’s official YouTube channel has posted a scheduled livestream. Inspecting the livestream is a thumbnail of the ASUS Zenfone 7 and its launch at the region.

After that, ASUS official Twitter handle has posted a video clip about the Zenfone 7. Their slogan is “Defy Ordinary” in which the supposed render of the device is featured at the clip as well. It had no punch-hole cutout nor any notch to place the selfie shooter and others. They may resort to their solution last year, a motorized mechanism housing the cameras with the Zenfone 6.

With that aside, the alleged specifications also appear online as well. This is thanks to Geekbench which has listed a testing on their database. Running the system is Android 10, coupled with 8GB RAM and a Snapdragon 865 or the Plus version. There might be other price and storage variants. Also, the display is reported to be an LCD panel at 60Hz refresh rate. As for the camera system, it maybe lead by a Sony IMX 686 sensor, a Sony IMX 363 camera and another auxillary camera on a flip motorized mechanism.

With the internals described by the benchmark, this should succeed the Zenfone 6 which had positive feedback. The flagship chip, uninterrupted display and the lower asking price compared to others made it shine when it comes to different verdicts.

As of now, the launch of the device locally is unknown.
