One of the budget mobile solutions have been circulating on the Chinese social media is the “SM6350” or the Snapdragon 690 5G. Digital chat station, shared information claiming that an upcoming device will be having the said chip. Though, not much has been known about the device aside it from being a budget phone and will be 5G enabled.
It is rumored that the device will retail at the ballpark of 1000RMB or PHP 7K up to 2000RMB or PHP 14K, converted directly. This makes sense since Redmi has been pricing their 5G midrange devices such as the Redmi K30 5G and the recently released Redmi 10X 5G series dotted at that price range.
A rough idea of the performance of the Snapdragon 690 could be estimated via this rumored Geekbench score. As you can see, the scores of the CPU is comparable to that of the Snapdragon 730G of the Mi Note 10 Lite.
Recently, Redmi also unveiled the Redmi 10X 5G. The device features a MediaTek Dimensity 820 platform which supports 5G and has near flagship performance at its segment for 1600RMB or PHP 11.5K. It will be interesting to see how the alleged device will stack up to the Redmi 10X series.
