Xiaomi has been offering bang for the buck devices since its debut last 10 years ago. Well, it seems that they’re back at it again with the leagues of introducing another compelling device for the masses. With the 120Hz AMOLED display and a flagship chip at an unreal price, it offers features that even higher priced devices may not have.
Akin to the series, the Redmi K30 Ultra borrows some design cues from the Redmi K30 Pro. It has a metal-glass chassis with a pop-up camera setup for the selfie shooter. Available in trio of hues, a gradient silver-green, white and a black. Gone is the 60Hz panel, replaced with a 120Hz AMOLED Full HD display which the Redmi K30 Pro lacks.
The MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ makes a reappearance here, being the first device is the iQOO Z1. It is paired with up to 8 gigabytes of RAM and 512 gigabytes of storage. Qualcomm platforms, the 865 particularly, has been popular to flagship devices this year. But Redmi has opted with the Dimensity chip from MediaTek, which offers very promising performance. According to AnTuTu atleast, it performs better than the Snapdragon 855 Plus and a tier below the Snapdragon 865.
Optically, the camera setup from the Redmi K30 Pro returns here. Sony’s IMX 686, a 64 megapixel camera is leading the other three sensors which are a 13MP, 5MP and 2MP. Functionalities being, an ultrawide, a telemacro and a depth sensor respectively. The pop-up mechanism houses the 20MP shooter for selfies.
Banked in the device is a 4,500mAh cell which fills up via 33W fast charging.
