Xiaomi celebrates their 10th anniversary this year and there are now rumors about new devices to be released soon.
A poster surfaces on Weibo that shows the device, dubbed “Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition”, to be released on August 11, later today. Tipsters speculate that the device is the refresh from the popular Mi 10 series flagship released earlier this year.
As for specifications, it may come with Qualcomm’s recently released Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus which offers a 10% boost in CPU and GPU performance with added connectivity features. An AnTuTu benchmark score has surfaced from Weibo earlier which achieved an astounding 687,000 score, highest to date.
The screen is reported to be a Full HD AMOLED panel still, but a higher refresh rate now at 120Hz.Also, the device has been spotted on TÜV Rheinland certification touting two 2,250mAh batteries. This is a total of 4,500mAh cell with both of them combined.
Why the dual-cell battery technology?
It is believed, according to tipsters and the recent CCC certification, that the device will feature the 100W charging technology honed by the Chinese giant itself. This would yield insane charging speeds as Xiaomi claims that they can fill up a 4,000mAh cell in 17 minutes. Xiaomi may also opt to put in the 40W wireless charging technology that they have showcased earlier this year.
Other features, present on the Xiaomi Mi 10, may get included. Namely, dual speakers and the 108 megapixel sensor which was used on their devices.
