The OPPO K series has been a staple for the Chinese market releasing midrange specifications at a higher price to performance ratio. The most recent device, the K5, has been the basis for the realme X2 and XT which was released in different markets at their respective price points.
Now, the firm has been preparing for its successor, as rumors suggest. A tipster from Weibo has shared more information about the device. He claimed that the K7 will have the Snapdragon 765G and a hefty 4025mAh of battery.
This is up from the Snapdragon 730G featured on its predecessor. This also means that the device may be capable of 5G network as the 765G supports it so.
Also, aside from the hefty battery and a decent chip, he also indicated that the device will have a 60Hz OLED panel, which was no different from the K5. It is safe to assume that the device will have VOOC 4.0 charging, which was present on the OPPO K5.
No launch date has been confirmed, though it may be interesting how does this turns out as many opportunities from their partner brands, such as realme may take grabs on it and bring it at a much affordable price and a broader audience.
