Yesterday, ASUS finally unveiled their latest gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone III. This is their third iteration to the series aiming at the niche of serious mobile gaming. The ROG Phone III, like its predecessors, have bleeding edge specifications at the premium end of pricing.
However, with two different markets launched, the device vary in price widely. Philippine availability is still unknown as of now. Though given that their predecessors launched locally before, it is not surprising if ASUS brought the device in the shores.
As for specifications, the device is donning the Snapdragon 865 Plus platform for the standard .version and the vanilla Snapdragon 865 for the Strix version. These chips are the highest end in the spectrum in terms of Android mobile platforms.
The displays is upped to a 144Hz refresh rate and 270Hz touch sampling rate. The display is still a 1080p OLED display, similar to the ROG Phone II.
Powering it is a 6,000mAh battery and fills via a 30W fast charging technology. With this size of battery, it will be easy to give the user a plentiful amount of screen on time even when the display is set at maximum refresh rate.
Do note that these are not official Philippine prices and are directly converted from Euros and Indian Rupees.
