OnePlus has been known before in releasing smartphones that appeal to the enthusiasts. Giving bang for the buck with its flagship specifications at a lowest possible price and its software quirks with Cyanogen at the time. Now only half of the story is true, with their software, OxygenOS. With the OnePlus 8 series costing more, numerous rumors that OnePlus is actively working on their newest midrange device.
The device had different names in the course of the months. First, it had the OnePlus 8 Lite moniker of late last year, then OnePlus Z and now OnePlus Nord. This is due to Max J, a popular leaker on Twitter had shared information about the device via asking his followers to guess.
He also shared that the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 mobile platform, this is contrary to the earlier rumored MediaTek Dimensity chip. Though, along with the Qualcomm platform, retains its 5G capabilities.
It is also widely rumored that the device will have a 1080p display with atleast a 90Hz refresh rate.
Just recently, the device suspected to clear TÜV Rheinland certification with the model number AC2003. The certification indicated with the support of 30W of power rating in charging.
The device is expected to launch in India this July, though no exact date has been given.
