Another Chinese Conference From Qualcomm Might Happen On June 17

It is June, the middle of the year, and though things have been doing roughly even in the smartphone space. Qualcomm is ready to release more products in its popular semiconductor line, the Snapdragon lineup, for the utilization of a wide variety of devices.

A screenshot of an alleged note suggests that a conference from Qualcomm is scheduled to be held at June 17. The note suggests that it will be another 5G mobile platform.
What do we expect from them? Apparently, multiple chips from the firm have been in the talks recently. These include SM7350, or the alleged successor to the Snapdragon 765(SM7250) series. The SM6350 or the lineup which includes Snapdragon 675(SM6150) is also rumored for quite a while. This may mean that Qualcomm is bringing 5G capabilities on much lower end and mainstream midrange devices.

Also, recently in the talks is Qualcomm’s refresh of the 865, assumingly named as “865 Plus” or “865+”. This may be possible as Qualcomm has done the 855 Plus before with last year’s Snapdragon 855. The 865 and the 855 share similar setup of cores and their frequencies that having a little more oomph wouldn’t be much of a surprise. The rumors spread as the Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone is nearing its release at July.
However, earlier a Meizu exec has denied that there would be an 865 refresh from Qualcomm.

It is possible that we may see only one, two, or all of the three mobile platforms mentioned above to see the light of day on the conference.
